I submitted a poem to my writer’s guild anthology several months ago and it was accepted.
My submission is called "Roommates" and it's a poem about a little girl and a spider. It's also the first and only poem I've ever written, and one of the editors suggested it might make a good children's book, so I'm looking into that right now too.
Roommates was even mentioned by one of the ARC reviewers, which really made my day!
"It's wonderful to see a writing group that not only encourages its writers, it provides an opportunity for them to showcase their work for others to see. And as a poet, I'm impressed that there are 14 poems in this collection, each one about a different part of the menagerie. I especially appreciated Blessed Mercenary. And Roommates made me smile. Well done!"
C. H. Lindsay, poet, writer, book lover.
After months of work, with me doing all the formatting and setting up the book for publication and distribution this past month, the book is now available through most major retailers.
It’s a great all ages mix of animal stories, poems, and musings that would make a great gift for any book lover.
